Townhouse Renovation // Carindale

This Carindale townhouse is now fit for any musician! It was totally remodelled with the focus on the music room – the heart of this build. The client’s focus was to create a room within the house that she could freely practice her music studies in, while still being a good neighbour. This required many specialty products, such as two layers of double-glazed windows, two types of acoustic panelling, double layer sound deadening gyprock and some clever construction techniques.

The rest of the home took the form of a conventional renovation; however, the finishes are bespoke. Upstairs, the bathrooms were completely remodelled, with classic linen travertine floor tile, rovere blanco wall tiles by Earp Bros, copper pendant lighting, and Roger Seller vanities. The bedrooms also received some TLC, with new Karndean flooring, paint, and modern light fixtures.

Downstairs was completely transformed, with interior walls being removed, and every room receiving a major makeover. The new kitchen features solid timber panelling and stone benchtops, a bespoke bench seat made from solid blackbutt, and new cabinetry to the powder room, laundry, and entry. Outside we retiled the patio, to fix water drainage and create a new hard landscaped path between the garage and the back door.

This Carindale townhouse is now a beautifully unique home for any musician, and we are thrilled with the results.
